Hi House.  I was gone all day yesterday and am leaving in a few minutes to take care of Luke and Zach for a few hours.

Judy ~ The RR is beautiful!  :clap  It looks so soft and the colors are so pretty.  Lucy and Sparkie are so cute guarding the door for you. :)

Linda ~ Oh, how wonderful that Rosie and John are back home.  I know you can't wait to see them again!

Marisa ~ I loved ALL the pictures!  Good luck with the upcoming exam. :yes

I need to go and will catch up more later.  As much as I love the little guys, I'm ready for a day with no driving and lots of crochet. :lol   Have a wonderful day! :manyheart

Good morning. We got back from camping yesterday evening. Most everything is packed and put away. We had a great time, and couldn't have asked for better weather. We went hiking and rode bikes. One afternoon we went out for lunch and poked around the shops in one of the beach towns nearby.

Judy, that RR is beautiful. I detest crocheting with Homespun, but the colors do look gorgeous when they're worked up. So nice and soft too. Nice pic of Sparkie and Lucy too.

Linda, hoping for safe travels for John and Rosie. Glad your thumb is not too bad.

Marlene, my parents had a trailer in a beach resort for many years and there were tons of skunks around there in the daytime. My sister on law even had one walk past her into the trailer when they were staying there. ( well, after all, no one is going to stand in a skunks way!). My mom said that they very rarely sprayed though. The skunk in the trailer, just walked back out after a few minutes. Glad hubby wasn't sprayed.

Marisa, good luck on that exam. Seems like you got through the classes quite quickly.

Sherry, I think you will have to work up a swatch in your chosen yarn, and try to match the gauge to decide which hook to use. Have fun with the grandsons this weekend.

Mary, enjoy your quiet day.

Joanne, it's so nice to see you posting more. Glad to hear that the project hasn't had any major issues. I think small issues after rollout are pretty much an expectation. Have fun with R And R tomorrow.

My contact dermatitis seems to be getting worse. It never lasts too long in one area, but then it crops up elsewhere. It's not usually in a very big area at a time, so I'm at a loss as to what it could be. Initially I thought it was from elastic, but I noticed my bra straps are elastic and I haven't gotten it in that area. I do not think that environmental things cause it. I've switched to a non scented laundry detergent, quit using fabric softener and I've started double rinsing all laundry. I'm at a loss for what else to try.

Good evening ladies :hi

I had a couple patients this morning and then I ran to the mall to look for shorts for my neighbor back home (the one that does nails) because she couldn't find them for her daughter.  I was able to get her 4 pair and 2 shirts for her :clap  Then I had some coupons for NY & Co so had to go use those of course and picked up a pair of jeans and lounge pants.  I stopped for a burger & fries on the way back from one of the food trucks around town (since they were in the mall parking lot).

I'm headed out tonight for trivia with my cousin.  Patients in the morning and then we're taking Knit the Bridge down this weekend so will head there after work :(

Marlene - skunks will spray when they feel threatened, it's their defense and boy are they stinky :eek  Glad dh wasn't in the line of fire.  As for the gloves, are you using the Red Heart pattern?  I've made several and am getting ready to make another in camo for a guy with a 3-4 weight yarn....he saw them when I was making them last season and said they'd be great for hunting!  So, I told him I'd make him a pair :)  All the other's I've made with sock yarn but can't say that I paid much attention to the make up of the yarn :think

Cindy - I hope your dermatitis lets up :hug

Quick stop in to say Happy Weekend!!!! I want to do laundry tonight since I'm babysitting tomorow afternoon and want to reserve Sunday for football and crocheting!

Glad you had a fun time camping, Cindy! I have no idea what could be causing the contact dermatitis---and hope it resolves it self soon. I use unscented everything- deodorant, soap, laundry detergent, fabric softener....I have sensitive skin and don't take any chances.

DH just called me- he is hungry--gee, I wonder why It's only 8PM~ LOL

I have just goofed off today.  My phone battery ran out so missed several calls, but nothing too important.  Rosie and John got in about 2:15 yesterday afternoon.  They sound tired.

Hope you all have a great weekend.   :ghug

Hi Ladies,

I've been busy today with laundry, looked for pictures my Grandma gave me from way back and can't find them. I showed them to Maya a couple of years ago and I must of put them some place else. I hate when that happens. My sister has some the younger kids can look at. I have my potato salad ready to be put together in the morning. I probably won't be on until sunday. I'll catch up with everyone then.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Good morning and to all the grandmas in the house- Happy Grandparents Day!

I had a wonderful day yesterday babysitting for R & R! We took a nice long walk and ended up at an Italian Ice place---gee wonder how that happened? :lol  Ryan and I shared one while Robbie cooperated by sleeping! :)

When I got home last night- there was a wonderful Grandparents Day card that had arrived in the mail from the boys with pictures of them and DH and I in it. :manyheart

Today, we are planning to go to a local park that has animals- it's called Longstreet Farm and is not far away at all. It's going to be another gorgeous day!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

Hi Ladies,

Happy Grandparents Day to all the Grandma's!

I talked to Maya today. DS doesn't have the kids so I won't hear from Payton and Jocelyn. It's a beautiful day out. We had 27 show up for are party yesterday. All my siblings showed up but one. He's locked up and has been most of his adult life. We had a great time. My sister had pictures my aunt gave her and I had some my grandma gave me and everyone enjoyed seeing them. My niece used her phone camera and took pictures of many of them and posted them on facebook. Some that weren't there squealed in shock. Were going to make a book for each of us to enjoy.

Yesterday Daisy turned one.

Cindy, I hope you figure out what is causing you problems.

Judy, What did you get at the orchard? Enjoy the football game with DS.

Joanne, I bet Ryan enjoyed the farm.

Sherry, Isn't it amazing how much fun kids can have with an empty box.

Hope Cindy, Mary, Linda, Val, Tam and Marisa had a great weekend!

Good Monday morning!  It's been a crazy few days...again. ;)   We've had company, the IT guy was here most of Saturday to configure DH's Mac with his work software, and I've been trying to finish up all the estate paperwork.  Just waiting on a few things for that now.  Obviously, no crochet time recently - maybe this week?

Marlene ~ Your reunion/party sounds wonderful!  How special that so many of you were able to get together. :)

Joanne ~ So glad you had time with the little guys this weekend. :c9

Linda ~ Have you seen Rosie and John yet?  I hope you had a good weekend!

I'll stop for now - DH has an 8:00 dental appt - better get in the shower!

Hi to those I've missed, too. :manyheart

Good morning. I had a very busy weekend at work, and still have to work Tuesday and Thursday this week. At the moment I'm out on the front porch, drinking coffee and watching it rain. We really need the rain. I don't think it's going to last long though.

Marlene, sounds like your party was a wonderful time. Is Maya enjoying school?

Mary, did they get Dh's work software up and running? Hope life slows down a bit for you. I haven't done any crocheting in over a week either. Busy, and not very motivated about it.

Joanne, glad you had fun with the boys this weekend.

Judy, too bad about the Giants, but at least you got to enjoy ds's company.

Sherry, I hope work is good for you this week, and that everything goes smoothly for a change!

Linda, Val, Marisa, Tam, hope you all had great weekends.

Judy ~ Yum!  Delicious Orchards sounds like a wonderful place. :)   We didn't watch the game, so I was surprised to see in the paper that the Cowboys won a game for a change. ;)

Cindy ~ Oh, watching it rain sounds so nice!  The IT guy has remote access to Mac and still has to download a couple of things he forgot to bring with him.  We WILL get this figured out. :lol  Enjoy your day off. :yes

Sherry ~ Your weekend must have been very busy with both grandsons there. :)  I hope work goes well this week.

We're leaving again shortly - we need to pick up DH's new glasses (I won't go into how inept this place has been :ohdear)  and then have some lunch.  I hope to count hexagons today and lay them out to check colors.  I know I still have plenty to make. :lol

Hi Ladies,

Cindy, Maya is liking school. She is one of 5 students from her class that are together this year. There was 4 kindergarten classes and 3 first grade classes so I guess they can really separate the kids.

Mary, Hope they get the computer all fixed up for DH soon.

Judy, Your treats sounds delicious from the orchard. Sorry about your Giants.

Tomorrow I have my mammogram and a bone density test. Then I will be at my sisters the rest of the week. Wednesday she is having female surgery. I will be staying with her until Friday then I have to go pick up Payton and Jocelyn from school and we will be coming back home. Taking some crocheting with me.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Hi to all the others we've missed.

Happy Tuesday, House. :)

Marlene ~ Sending hugs to your sister - I hope her surgery goes well. :hug   It's so good that Maya loves school!  I'll bet she's a fast learner and we know she loves books!

Gracie is at the groomers and I'll go back to get her about 1.  She had a possum cornered  early this morning...we probably have neighbors mad at us because it took me a while (and some cheese) to get her back in and her bark is a lot bigger than she is. :lol

I have 61 hexagons finished so far!  Still need to decide on the finished size, though. :yes

I hope everyone is having a great day! :manyheart

Hi, everyone.  Had a very nice weekend.  We are back to the normal times for church, so I finally made it.  Spent most of Sunday afternoon and evening with Rosie and John.  I took the quilt top with me and we laid it out on his bed and it's perfect!  He loves it!  Even though it isn't finished.  It does look pretty awesome and with the blanket that I'm using as the batting it will be beautifully warm.  Rosie did something to her knee about 5 1/2 weeks ago.  It's horrendously swollen and painful.  She saw her doctor on Monday and it's off to a knee specialist as soon as she can get in.

My loom is fully warped and I'm ever so pleased with it.  The process takes time but was a lot easier than I'd been led to believe by quite a few folks.  I did it backwards for a right handed person, just like I sew backwards when doing things by hand.  (My ambidexterousness showing up again.   :P )  Anyway, that part of the process is done and I can now start on the actual weaving.

Marlene ~ Your party sounds like a smashing success.  Glad you all had such a nice get together.

Cindy ~ Sounds like a super busy week for you at work this week.

Mary ~ Isn't it funny how a little dog can make so much sound?   :lol  I had an Australian Terrier at one point and he sounds like a German Shepherd.

Judy ~ Your purchases at the Apple Orchard sound positively yummy.

Hope you all have a good day and week.   :ghug

Linda, I hope Rosie's knee isn't as bad as it looks! Yay for being ambidextrous! :cheer  :clap

Summer came back to visit - tomorrow, too...other than that I'm hanging in there....

Have a good night my friends :hug

I know that something is majorly wrong with Rosie's knee.  I'm just hoping that there is an easy fix for it.  She took some pain pills for the pain, so it didn't hurt this morning and she was claiming it was all better.  I told her to think again, because I wasn't buying it.

Tomorrow is my long day at work so won't be on until afterwards.  Hope you all have a good day.

Hi all. :manyheart

Linda ~ Oh no, I hope Rosie gets an appointment quickly!  Congrats on getting so much done with your loom. :clap   Now the fun can begin!

Judy ~ Summer is still here, too. At least we're only in the 90's this week. ;)   They are replacing the a.c. next Wednesday - so far the freon he added is doing the job.

I was at DD's by 8:30.  She and Luke had Museum School orientation, so I had some one on one time with Zach. :c9 Here are the two little guys about a month ago. ♥

Hello ladies. It's been a busy week here. Work has been very busy, and there has been a lot to do around the house as well. Today, however, I went shopping. I had a 30% off coupon for Kohls. I didn't buy much though, just unmentionables, ( they don't look like much, but they sure add up!), and a cardigan. I was thinking of going grocery shopping, but I haven't been sleeping well, and just didn't have the energy. So I came home, sat around for a while and started laundry. I think I need some coffee.

Linda, hope Rosie's knee turns out to be an easy fix. It sounds like it could be a big deal though.. Hope work is going well today.

Mary, it is still summer here too. We had record highs yesterday. Cute pictures of the boys.

Linda - I hope Rosie's knee isn't too bad.  I'm glad she's going to get it checked out.  Glad your work went well today.

Mary - love the pic of the boys!  They are so cute!

Judy - summer is still here as well.  At least they are saying it's gonna get cooler.  I'm ready for some cooler weather but not cold.

Marlene - hope your sister's surgery goes well.

I'm really glad today is Wednesday, only two more days and then I get to rest (well, maybe rest, we have the GS again).  This week hasn't been as stressful but it's still not like it used to be.  I'm hoping for a quiet day tomorrow but we'll see.  I do have a meeting tomorrow night, :(  not looking forward to it.

No crocheting this week, I've been too tired.  I did find a cute scarf pattern that I'd love to make, so I'll have to see if I have enough yarn in the stash to make it (maybe will start it tomorrow night).

Joanne, Marisa, Val, Tam, and others--hope all is well with you.  Have a great evening.  Hugs to all.
