Good morning housemates!

We got back from Bama around 9pm. I was soooo tired. My great niece went with us after stating she would not be going. She had spent 1 1/2 weeks there a couple of week ago. Well, she decided to go at the last minute because I was going. Then she couldn't understand why we couldn't stay longer.

Thanks everybody for praying for Diane's family and us. Love you guys!

Joanne - Hoorah for vacation. What are you planning to do with your downtime?

Marisa - I'm so happy for the growth of your practice! I could sure use an appointment today!

Judy - What a beautiful dryer pad. Oh my! How do you keep an active dog from running?

Cindy - may your Thursday be as quiet as yesterday. Enjoy your time ouy with the in-laws.

Mary - Sorry about your finger. Wow talking about hot...Georgia is suppose to reach the triple digits as well.

Marlene - how wonderful to sit by the lake crocheting while watching Maya swim. What will you do the week Maya is with her mom?

Linda - it's good that you're getting to do things you enjoy.

Julie - continuously lifting you up in prayer. Hope this surgery will improve your quality of life!

Housemates have a great day!

Finished up the prayer shawl. Will turn it in tonight. I'm taking care of Kim this afternoon for a few hours so that John can run some errands. Will be working on another prayer shawl while he's gone.

Take care of your finger, Mary.

The first picture shows the shape of the new prayer shawl best and the second shows the lacy pattern better.

Well, after I checked in earlier my mom had called to tell me that her and my aunt took my uncle to the hospital last night and they admitted him. He went into ICU this morning, they think he had a heart attack and is having a catheterization this afternoon. He already has alot of ongoing medical issues :(

Linda ~ Your shawl is so pretty! :clap

Hi purples!

Well, I jumped out there and ordered a new computer today. :D I've been saving everything important to a flash drive for the last few weeks, since mine has been acting up a lot. We have a friend (he was our IT guy at our company years ago) who told me it was crazy to spend any more $ on this one. I couldn't justify the cost of a Mac for me, so he recommended a Sony Vaio and helped me customize it! Now, if he could only come help me set it up when it arrives. :lol

Hello everyone. Thought I'd say a quick hello while I'm waiting for time to leave for dinner. Work was good again today. I'm off until Tuesday now.

Mary, that is an adorable picture of Luke watching the bird.

Marisa, Sophie will be 7 in December. Sorry to hear about your uncle. Hopefully whatever is wrong can be easily treated.

Marlene, today sure was a great day to be out at the lake! Its hot!!!!! Maya is lucky, having grandparents who live on a lake.

Joanne, are you going somewhere on your time off? I imagine you are so tired from all the hours you've been putting in that you are just looking forward to having free time.

Linda, that shawl is gorgeous. I really like the pattern, it's lacy but it still has some substance. (Does that make sense?)

Judy, how are you doing keeping Lucy quiet? It's so hot here today (95 degrees at the moment) that Sophie is hanging out in the air conditioning. (She's a wimpy dog, likes to be comfortable above all else)

Val, glad you got home safely.

Julie, thinking of you, hope you are feeling alright.

Well, sometimes I can reel her in if she's off leash, but most of the time I take her out on a leash - even though it's only in the yard. She still play fights with Sparkie in the house, and will do it outside, chasing after him, if we can't grab her. She's so youngyou can't really stop her easily - short of doping her up. It was about 90 today, so not a great day to play outside...but they both went for a car ride this morning.:)

Good Morning, House. I'm typing with a big band-aid on my right index finger. I was cutting up a cantaloupe this a.m and obviously wasn't paying attention. :oops

Ouch...at least you didn't need stitches! Or do you??

Judy ~ The dryer pad is so pretty! Love the colors you chose. :hook

Thanks!:D

Judy - What a beautiful dryer pad. Thanks! Oh my! How do you keep an active dog from running?

With difficulty:lol

Hi ladies

Quick jump in to say I'm home. Stopped in last night to read posts, but didnt try to post to each individual. Maybe I'll try that later on today or tomorrrrow . The surgery went well ,had all nice docs and nurses . I really thought this would be a breeze compared to my other bigger surgeries, but it was probably the worst one as far as how sick I was post-op .Really bad nausea for about 24 hours straight .My neck is very swollen and hurts like heck, but it'll get better. No word on the biopsies. The doc said it's possible they may be in today, but maybe not til Monday,so we shall see what they say. Will check in later when I have more steam and less pain. Woke me up hurting,so just now took some meds for it .

Hope everyone is doing well today . Stay cool, it 's supposed to be a hot one .

Julie- Glad to see a post from you this morning- hang in there- and hope the pain meds help! Positive thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery and good results on the biopsy!!

Val- I'm hoping for a fast day in Paradise! But I have meetings from 9-1 and then a bunch of work to get done before I leave. But then I'm off till the 9th! It won't come soon enough!!

Mary- Love the pic of Luke and the bird- it's priceless!!

Skies are getting really dark here which means boomers are on the way- it's very humid and generally yucky out there right now.

Better get a move on- have a good Friday everyone!

Good afternoon ladies :hi

I have a patient at noon who is running a bit behind so that gave me time to check in with you :hug It's hot here too, I even wore a tank and shorts here today....something I don't usually do :shrug I went swimming this morning :D

My patient for tomorrow morning called to reschedule, he left a message so now I left him a message. He wants next Sat now, but I was planning on heading to ohio with Ingrid and the kids to keep her company. Averie has dance competitions in Sandusky and they'll be gone from wed to sat. Then the weekend after if my parents anniversary party. The weekend after that I volunteered for a run with the Pirates and the week after that my friend that just lost one of the twins is having a 'check out the nursery' party :eek So if I can't talk him into a weekday I won't be going with Ingrid and the kids next week.

And I just got a call from a guy from Long Island that took his daughters to the Pittsburgh Ballet for a camp type thing I think for a month. He and his wife are coming in this afternoon to get adjusted :D Obviously they won't be long term patients, but hey....you never know who they know :think

And the other guy just called too......yes, I started this message 20 minutes ago :eek ......and he's going to come Monday evening so it looks like I can go with Ingrid and the kids :yay

We talked to my aunt last night and it sounds positive for my uncle. He did have a minor heart attack. They put a balloon in an artery (not sure which one) and I guess he has a shoulder problem going on that needs to be taken care of....but he's been trying for a few months on that already :shrug

OK, well a half hour after I started, I'm finally getting to my individuals :whew

Mary - :yay for the new computer and that pic of Luke and the bird is precious :hug

Cindy - Enjoy your long weekend and have fun with the laundry :devil

Judy - We sure are a close family :yes

Joanne - Oh boy, when you get this you'll officially be on vacation!!!! :yay:clap:woo When are you leaving for NH?

Val - Sorry to hear about the minister, it's sweet of you to make the prayer shawl :hug

Julie - Glad to hear the surgery went well and I hope you're feeling better today now :hug Prayers and positive thoughts for the biopsy :hug

Hi, Marisa - it's nice having patients but when you're self employed your life isn't your own....:hug

Well, on the minor side of a glitch in life, a water pipe broke in the next township over so we're told to conserve...and BOIL our water.:P This could go on for days.

On the major side of things, DS finally went to a foot and ankle specialist...and he has a partial tear of the achilles tendon on his left leg. It's going to be along haul and hopefully it'll heal w/out surgery. We can only pray....

Have a good night my friends...:hug:manyheart

Hi all. I've been reading most of today. I'm going to be giving Sweet Pea a bath when I'm done in here. I vacuumed downstairs earlier and even took a nap for a while.

I got so excited about the computer, I forgot to post this!

Luke and little bird...

That picture is sooooo sweet! I agree with the others. This is one to blow up and frame.

Linda, that shawl is gorgeous. I really like the pattern, it's lacy but it still has some substance. (Does that make sense?)

Here is the site with the pattern for the shawl. It's really easy. And, yes, your comment makes perfect sense. I'm working on another one in laceweight midnight blue wool yarn with size 30 white cotton thread and a size G hook. The green one was done in RHSS and size N hook.

Linda, thanks for the pattern link.

Judy, oh dear, it would be a pain to boil all your water, but even worse when its so hot. Guess it could have been worse, it could have been the power! Hope ds heals quickly.

Marisa, your practice is growing!!! Glad your weekend turned out to be free so you could go with Ingrid. Glad to hear the good news about your uncle as well. And I wish we would get some storms, it is so dry here.

Val, congrats on 1000 posts. Keep cool in that heat! It was in the 90's here today, but it wasn't humid, and there was a bit of a breeze, so it didn't feel too bad.
