first thread crochet project!

My brother got married on Saturday to a wonderful girl that I am proud to now call Sister. I made an heirloom garter for her in blue thread and I really am happy with how it turned out. I pinched a bit of pattern here, and a bit of pattern there, seasoned with my own beaded trim and voila! Heirloom garter!

You did a great job with the garter. It is a treasured piece. I had made myself a garter for when I got married and I also wore a store bought one. Of course, I threw away the store bought one and kept the one I made to pass down in our family. Of course, I had a son, but I hope his future wife one day will wear it.
