This skating outfit is not for a famous skater but it is for a member of my Wed. night needle group. When I showed them my “Sonja” outfit Mary said that she had been a skater and brought us some pics to show how she looked. She’s famous to me for her knitting anyway.

Att yarn at top right from the inside and work across in hdc.

Hdc in 1st, 2 hdc inn next, [dc in 1, 2 dc in next]4 times, dc in 1, hdc in next, sc in 2,hdc in 1, [dc in 1, 2 dc in next]4 times, dc in 1, 2hdc in next hdc in last.

Work edging for collar as hem for skirt.

Back edging…

Work sc along back left edge and up right back edge. Work back along right edge to waistline making button loops as you go.

Sleeves…

Att yarn in base of armhole, begin working in sc, then hdc and finally dc as you work to sleeve cap. Work 3 dec in cap area.

Continue working in dc rows to last row.

For 2nd to last row make 1 dec.

For last row work in sc making a [sc dec, (2dc-ch1-2dc)in next, sc dec for point as shown.

I was not happy with the look of this sleeve but it had to be large enough to get over the extended hands. I am thinking it might be a good idea to work back and forth for the last couple of rows so you could put a button on to bring in the bulk of the sleeve.

I do not have a problem with people/groups using my patterns to make a little extra money by physically making them and selling the items they make.

However, I do not permit the selling of my patterns for money. I have once given permission for a booklet to be made of them for a charitable sale and I may do so again *if I am asked* and if it is for a church, charity or school type group. But first you have to ask.

Furthermore, If you choose to use my patterns as a money maker , I do not permit my images to be used for any advertizing of your work. You must make your own item and photograph that. These images are as much a part of my Web image as a designer as the patterns are and I reserve that use to myself alone.
