Christmas/Winter Scarves, Hats, and Slippers

You can make these items smaller, using smaller size hooks and yarn.

 

I will be getting pics posted of these as soon as I can make them and get a picture before they are taken away by family and friends.

 

Candy Cane Scarf-

Red and white yarn

J Hook

Yarn needle

 

White Yarn and J hook:

Chain 18

Row 1-

1 triple/treble crochet in 5th chain from hook, 1 triple/treble crochet

in each chain across.

Row 2-

Turn, Chain 4

1 triple/treble crochet in each stitch across.

 

*Fasten off white attach red.

Rows 3 & 4-

Turn, Chain 4

1 triple/treble crochet in each stitch across.

 

Fasten off red attach white.

Rows 5 & 6-

Turn, Chain 4

1 triple/treble crochet in each stitch across.*

 

Continue *-* for Rows 7 through 40

2 rows of white

2 rows of red

 

You can finish the scarf by doing a slip stitch around whole scarf in

either red or white.

 

 

Candy Cane Hat/Beanie

Basic Beanie Pattern

White and Red yarn

J hook

Yarn needle

 

J hook and white yarn:

chain 3

Round 1-

10 half double crochet in 3rd chain from hook. Slip stitch to beginning.

Round 2-

2 Half double crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch to beginning.

 

Fasten off white attach red.

Round 3-

*2 half double crochet in first stitch, 1 hdc in next stitch*

Continue *-* around. Slip stitch to beginning.

Round 4-

*2 half double crochet in first stitch, 1 hdc in next 2 stitches*

Continue *-* around. Slip stitch to beginning.

 

Fasten off red and attach white.

Round 5-

*2 half double crochet in first stitch, 1 hdc in next 3 stitches*

Continue *-* around. Slip stitch to beginning.

Round 6-

*2 half double crochet in first stitch, 1 hdc in next 4 stitches*

Continue *-* around. Slip stitch to beginning.

 

Fasten off white and attach red.

Round 7-

*2 half double crochet in first stitch, 1 hdc in next 5 stitches*

Continue *-* around. Slip stitch to beginning.

Round 8-

1 half double crochet in each stitch around.

 

*Fasten off red and attach white.

Rounds 9 & 10

1 half double crochet in each stitch around.

 

Fasten off white and attach red.

Rounds 11 & 12

1 half double crochet in each stitch around.*

 

Continue *-* pattern for rounds 13 through 30.

 

Round 31-

Slip stitch in each stitch around.

Fasten off and weave in all ends.

 

 

Candy Cane Slippers

White and red yarn

H hook

Yarn needle

4 Pom-Poms (2 red & 2 white)

 

Make 2-

White yarn and H hook:

Chain 31

Row 1 - Single crochet 2 chain from hook and in each chain across. Turn. Chain 1. 30 sc

 

Row 2 thru 36 - SC in back loops only across. Turn. Chain 1. 30 sc

*Alternate Red yarn and white yarn every 2 rows. 2 rows red, 2 rows white.*

 

Fold in half and sew a seam through the first row and the last row.

 

Attach either red or white

Row 1 single crochet evening around opening. Turn. Chain 1. 72 sc

Row 2 single crochet each stitch around. Turn chain 1. 72 sc

Row 3 *single crochet chain 1 skip next stitch single crochet in next stitch. Repeat * around and join to top of chain 1.

 

Weave ends in.

 

With either red or white. Make 2.

Chain 105

 

Weave through each hole of row 3.

 

Knot ends, attach pom-pom(1 red, 1 white for each string) to each end. and trim.

 

Tie bow at the front of the slipper.

 

 

 

Gingerbread Scarf

Brown and white yarn

J hook

Yarn needle

 

 

Brown Yarn and J hook:

Chain 18

Row 1-

1 triple/treble crochet in 5th chain from hook, 1 triple/treble crochet

in each chain across.

Rows 2 through 40-

Turn, Chain 4

1 triple/treble crochet in each stitch across.

 

 

Finish the scarf by doing a single crochet in white around whole

scarf.

Do the basic hat/beanie pattern in color of choice and sew on a fridgie

character of choice.

Character slippers

Make color of choice of basic slipper pattern and attach coaster of choice

to top of slippers or make small fridgies and attach to ends of ties.

Brown slippers

Attach red pom-pom to end of slippers, ears and horns to top of slippers,

attach eyes.

 

Snowman:

White slippers

Attach carrot nose to end of slippers, eyes on top of slipper

 

Penguin:

Black slippers

Attach white body, orange beak and feet, eyes.
