We have had a lot of weddings in our family. lol. This is Shelly's afghan, she's my sister's oldest daughter. I adored this afghan and hated to give it away.

That WOULD be hard to give up! It's stunning... so big too, she and new hubby can cuddle under it for sure. What was the pattern you used... I just love cable stitches!

Pattern was in "A Year of Afghans" book 12 and also "Afghans for all Seasons book 4". It was off white in those books. Looks harder than it was!!! Nice and warm

Beautiful! I tried doing an afghan with cables and it didn't work...the afghan kept "leaning" so to speak. Don't know if I was missing a stitch somewhere or if the pattern was badly written or what, but I gave up! So props to you!

Well, Shelly's afghan took me 2 years to finish. People keep having babies and Arden needs dresses! Also it was so big and heavy that I couldn't work on it when it was hot out. She loves it though and it was one of "those" WIPS that keep haunting me.

 

Thanks for all the compliments! I am bad about uploading photos, I had like 400 on my memory card. lol. I will try to be better!!!
