Basic Crochet Supplies

yvetteg

Question

Okay I am starting up with crocheting after not doing it for 20 years ( 20 years ago I tried to do a rather large afghan and got discouraged. Then in August 2009 one of the girls at work was doing edging for baby socks and I was like hmm.... I can do that. The rest is several socks later and three hats one baby afghan I am hooked) So then this is what I have for supplies.

Steel Hooks Sizes 7, 8, 9,10, 0, 1

Regular Hook Sizes F,G,H,I,J,K

and I have removable stitch placers

So besides yarn needless (for sewing pieces together or working yarn through stitches)

what other basic supplies do I need (Yarn excluded)

*Had to edit I left a few letters out of needles *blushes*

the only serious suggestion I have is row counters. I find them handy.

but if you're really ocd, get every hook available by about a half dozen manufacturers in acrylic, bamboo, wood, and whatever the latest spaceage technology wonder material is! And a few just because you like the color! or the shape! or the material! :)

Otherwise, you are well set for almost any crochet challenge!
