Hello, new here with silly question

[Toadme]

I was on a vintage crochet site and LOVED a pattern but it gave me ALL vintage yarn and hook sizes.

 

My problem is mush brain that i am ... with our modern yarn and hooks how do i figure out which ones too use?

 

woolworth size 4?

Bercaldie yarn?

 

any help wont be back near a computer til monday thanks all

Don't know if you still need this, but in the Woolworth hooks I have a size 4 is an E. I haven't measured the mm size but can if you still need it. Since it is a small hook, I guess the yarn is small enough to use with the hook.
