How pretty great job. I was also wondering where did you find the pattern it looks so pretty

For those unfamiliar with the Wool Eater, here is the link to Sarah London's pattern. http://sarahlondon.wordpress.com/2009/08/25/wool-eater-instructions/ There's also a CAL that was started in April '09: http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=98049&highlight=wool+eater+cal

Thanks everyone! :manyheart

that is awesome. I am planning on doing one of these but I want to do it in squares, i hate doing large projects in rounds. I am sure this can be done, just have to figure hout how to end the square so they join easy. any ideas?

hubby likes it in the full square, not little squares and he loves your colors. I am wondering if you can share what they were called. Thanks

I used two different brands of yarn to get the shading I wanted; Loops and Threads Impeccable (Michaels' house brand) in Aran and Aqua and Red Heart Super Saver in Aruba Sea, Real Teal, and Black. RHSS's Aran is really close.

Also, here's a link to one she did with smaller squares. She doesn't say how she joined them together but it looks similar to how you would join granny squares (connecting them with the last round of stitches). Personally, I'd want it to be a bit sturdier and would join three stitches in each "wheel" rather than just one. Or maybe leave off that second round, so that you would have flat edges to join... Or maybe offset the squares slightly so that the "wheels" fit into each other like puzzle pieces... I just depends on what look you want, I guess. http://sarahlondon.wordpress.com/2009/09/30/ive-been-meaning-2/

It's really fun and easy to make, once you get the hang of it. Enjoy!

this afghan has inspired me to do one. I have thought about it for awhile but thought it looked complicated until I read the pattern, it is so not. mine is about 4 ft square right now not sure how big it will end up. I also have picked up the yarn to do another one after but rectangle instead of square.

Cool! Can't wait to see pictures of you finished Wool Eater! It's always fun to see how people have played with color with this pattern.
