Thread with a silky appearance

Does anyone know of any crochet threads that have a lush silky appearance? It doesn't have to be silk but I'd love to use something that has that sheen and look to it!

anything mercerized maybe??? Those threads always look shiny and pretty.

Or try Etsy - lots of sellers have threads made from lush stuff

Elmore Pisgah web site has Americas Best thread and article 137 is a rayon thread. It is very silky looking. It is kind of slippery and takes some doing to get the hang of using it.

I love the looks and feel of it. It comes in alot of colors.

If you don't need tons of yardage, I use DMC size 5 thread, It is shiny, comes in lots of colors and shadings and is very easy to work with. Plus you can seperate the plys to make addition yards if size 5 is too thick. It comes in 27.3 yd hanks for less than $2 ea.

Altin Basak makes a polyester thread that is very shiny. It's a little harder to work with than cotton, but I made a cream-colored doily for a wedding that was great.
