oops forgot to add, I use similar to this, underneath my table lamps, so they don't scratch the glass, works very very well!

What size hook and type yarn do you use? I have this pattern and the ones that I have made are either to small or to big. I can't seem to find the happy combination to this pattern. Would appreciate any help you can give me.
