Little Piggy Amigurumi

I've decided to make my Little Piggy Amigurumi free and I realized I have never posted a pattern on C'ville before....so here it is!

Little Piggy Amigurumi

 

Materials:

Worsted weight yarn- about 1 ½ oz. pink

Scrap of black

Crochet hook size F

9mm safety animal eyes

Polyfill

Yarn needle

Notes: Do not join rounds unless indicated. Mark the beginning of each round with a stitch marker or scrap of yarn.

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

 

Pattern

Rnd 1: Starting at head end, ch 2. 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (6 sc)

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)

Rnd 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around. (18 sc)

Rnd 4: (Sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around. (24 sc)

Rnds 5 – 13: Sc in each sc around.

***Attach eyes over rnds 5 -6***

Rnd 14: (Sc in each of next 2 sc, decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc) repeat around. (18 sc)

Rnd 15: Sc in each sc around.

***Add stuffing at this point. ***

Rnd 16: (Sc in next sc, decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc) repeat around. (12 sc)

Rnd 17: (Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc) repeat around, join with a sl st in next sc, leaving a length of yarn for sewing, fasten off.

Add more stuffing to body to fill it out then sew opening closed.

 

 

Legs (Make 4)

 

Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (6 sc)

Rnd 2: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around. (9 sc)

Rnd 3: Sc in back loop only of each sc around.

Rnd 4: Sc in each sc around, join with a sl st in next sc, leaving a length of yarn for sewing, fasten off.

Stuff legs and using eyes to mark the top of body, sew to bottom of body, 2 in front and 2 in back.

 

Snout

Rnd 1: Ch 4, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in last ch, working around into opposite side of starting ch, work sc in each of next 2 ch. (8 sc)

Rnd 2: (SC in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) repeat around. (12 sc)

Rnd 3: Sc in each sc around, join with a sl st in next sc, leaving a length of yarn for sewing, fasten off.

Sew snout to face under the eyes, add stuffing before closing.

With a length of black yarn, embroider nostrils onto snout.

 

 

Ears (Make 2)

Row 1: Starting at top of ear, ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch across, ch 1, turn. (4 sc)

Row 2: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn.

Rows 3 – 4: Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc, sc in each remaining sc across, ch 1, turn. (3sc, 2 sc)

Row 5: Decrease 1 sc over next 2 sc, fasten off.

Fold ears in half lengthwise, sew top of ear together, then sew ears to top of head near eyes.

 

Tail

Ch 9, 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch across, leaving a length of yarn for sewing, fasten off.

Sew tail to rnd 17 of back of body.

 

Done!!
