יצור וילד- A Creature and a Boy

Note:

These dolls have a social message of friendship and respect the other.

It comes to fruition in two aspects: first their ability of touching each other, second by the bond of two different individuals.

for the boy and the creature could hug or hold hands- I saw them on the inner side of their palm a little square scotch (one hand mail the other female).

Note:

Stuff number of times-

First time after row 8, second time after row 25, and third time after row 37.

(You need to feel it, this is only an advice. you need to stuff a couple of times while doing the long part of the arm otherwise it will be hard to stuff because the arm is narrow)

Leg: (make 2)

Row 1: make 2 ch on hook, turn. (2)

Row 2: inc, sc, ch, turn. (3)

Row 3: sc, inc, sc, ch, turn. (4)

Sc around the foot (28). Mark with a string with a contrast color the end of this round.

Note: when there is sl st do sl st and not a simple sc.

Row 6: sc in next 2, dec, sc in next 7. (10)

Row 7- 40: sc around (10). Finish with sl st in last sc. Fastten off.

Note:

from row 7 it determine the length of the leg. For short leg finish after 20 rows…

Note: Stuff number of times-

First time after row 7 (of the second part), second time after row 25, and third time at the end.

Eyes: (make 2)

With scrap of with yarn make MR.

1 . Work 6 sc in ring.

2. 2 sc in each st around (12).

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing.

Pupils: (make 2) (אישונים)

With black yarn make MR.

Work 6 sc in ring.

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing.

Note:

sew one pupil, center near lower age of each eye. Weave end into back of eye. With tail of eye, work a small stitch in pupil to give the eye a "glint".

Tail:

First with color of the body-

Ch 8, join with sl st in first ch to form a ring.

Row 1: sc each sc around. (8)

Row 2: sc each sc around.

Repeat row 2 antil you pleae from the length of your tail. Sl st in next sc, fasten off. Join a new color with sl st in the same sc.

Next row: (with new color) ( ch 15, sc in next sc) 8 times. Sl st in last sc.

Fasten off leaving 6 cm of tail. weave the tail through sc of last round and pull tigth. Weave in end.

Nose:

Row 1: MR 4.

Row 2: sc each sc. (4)

Row 3: inc each sc (8)

Row 4: (inc, sc) 8 times. (12)

Row 5-9: sc around. (12)

Stuff, sew the narrow edge of the nose to the middle of the nose to get the spin effect.

Note:

you can play with the length and the thickness of the nose as you please.

For longer nose add more rows after the last one (or the opposite for a shorter nose).

For a thick nose increase row 3 or 4 as you wish (add sc to each row), (or the opposite for a narrow nose).

Wings: (Make 2)

Row 1: Ch 2, sc in first chain. (1 st)

Row 2: ch 1 to turn, 3 sc in st (3 sts)

Row 3: ch 1 to turn,2 sc in st, sc in next st, sc and dc in last st (5 sts)

Row 4: ch 1 to turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in last st (7 sts)

Row 5: ch 1 to turn, sc in next 6 sts, sc and dc in last st (8 sts)

Row 6: ch 1 to turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 7 sts (9 sts)

Row 7: Ch 1 to turn, sc in next 3 sts, hdc in next st, dc, tr, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next sc, hdc in next st, dc, tr, tr in last st (13 sts)

Row 8: ch 1 , turn, (tr, tr, dc) in the first sc , hdc, sc,hdc, dc, (tr, dc) in next sc, hcd, sc in next 3 sc. (13)

Note : the last row is not exact for sure, the idea is to repeat row 7 backwards. Use your sense when you do the last row and the finish.

The place I took the wing from have another suggestion that I didn’t use, maybe you will find this useful:

"The edge that joins with the body is what I'm going to call the inside of the wing.

Join yarn at the top inside corner of the wing, and sc all the way around with 3 sc at each corner. Break off leaving enough tail to sew the wing on to the body. Refer to diagram if that makes as little sense to you as it does to me."

Ears: (Make 2)

Chain 1 or use a magic loop.

Rnd 1: ch 1, 3 sc in first st/loop (3 sts)

Rnd 2: ch 1 to turn, 2 sc in first st, sc, dc, sc in next st, 2 sc in last st. (7 sts)

Rnd 3: ch 1 to turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in next 2 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in last st. Break off yarn leaving enough to sew ears on.

note:

also in the ear I add one more row , in this row I tried to make the top of the ear sharp by doing 2 sc in the top edge. Try it and fine your own way. Good luck

Credits:

I feel obligated to give some of the credits to a bunch of people that took part in making these dolls. Well not all I invented by my own, some parts of it is taken from other instructions that exist before.

First- thanks to Tamar a frind of mine who was the thinker of this consept.

Second- thanks to Gila, a good friend who took part in the making of the dolls, and was supporting in all time…

The tail and the eyes- are taken from instructions of a beautiful loin witch I can not fine on the net- who ever invent this lion- you are a genius- thank you!

The ear and the wing- is taken from an instructions of a little bet although I did a little changes.
