Help me asap with tassels!!

How in the heck do I get pom poms to attatch to the end of a tassel on a hat?? The way I am doing it just doesn't look right. Help me please!!

When you make the pom pom and you tie it you leave a long enough string that you can attach to the other piece by using either a crochet hook or a sewing needle. Just pull it through and attach it and then bury the ends.

 

When you say tassle do you mean just a piece of yarn hanging down because I don't think you mean a tassle or if you do I don't understand why you would want to put a tassle and pom pom's together.

It is a tassel...or similar....I am making one of the "pig tail" hats that have the braids on either side and I cannot get the pom poms to attatch to the ends of the braids and look right. I am using 2 different colors to so it is makng it harder. It just doesn't look right to me.
