Maia shawl CAL

I am starting another Maia Shawl and was wonering is anyone would like to join me in a CAL. I am using knit picks shadow kettle dyed in the color clementine. It is for my sister in law for christmas. I figure if I do not start my holiday projects now, I will never get done.

I love, love, love this lace, but sadly I have no use for triangle shawls :/ Maybe someday some folks will start doing semi circles or crescent ones in lace that gorgeous.

Hi, is anyone still working on this one? I found a lovely blue/purple shade by Old King Cole. I don't usually touch acrylic as it makes my hands really dry and they ache after a few rows of using it. But I couldn't resist the colour. I am using a 5mm hook. It is going to be more of a heavy shawl, not lacey at all unless I stretch it between a couple of cars going in opposite directions. Though I do have some laceweight in alpaca that I will try it on once I get this one over with. In between working on a pineapple doily.

I have made a mistake on it which I have kept going through the shawl. I did three rows of flowers, then (it was 2 in the morning) went on to a row of shells. Realising that i just started the flower rows again! So it will be three rows of flowers and a row of shells until it is long enough, then I will do the shell border properly.

i finished my shawl but still have to take pics. i love the purple color you used. i can see why you could not resist it! it looks great so far!
