sock yarn doily, you done me wrong!!

I tried making a doily with some old sock yarn called magic stripes that I got from Big Lots a while back. I recommend: do not try this at home!!

 

Any suggestions what to do with it??

 

The second picture is how the same pattern looks done with Bernat satin and an I hook.

I think it would look nice under a bland flower pot...the edges sticking out would liven it up a little...I like it.

Ok Im gonna be the odd ball here but I really like it I think it stands out on its own and I love how the colors worked up in it. I would display it on the wall

There are 2 odd balls here. I like the one made with the sock yarn, I really like the colors. I could picture that out on my July table.

I'd mat it with a neutral color, and frame it for a wall display.

well consenses is in.. I like it.. even thou you can't see the detail pineapple like in the white... it's pretty!. mabey use it under a lamp? under a flowerpot? I dunno but I too like it.

It's called eight-pineapple doily. I found it in a booklet called Quick & Easy Crochet May/June 1993. I found a whole stack of these at a thrift store here in El Paso.
