what size needles?

Very basic question. I am practicing my knit stitch with worsted weight yarn. Red Heart (don't scream) What size knitting needles should I use?

The skein says an 8, I'm fiddling with a 9. Any thoughts?

Also the loop on the turns looks a little saggy. Anyone experience that?

I'll try to post a picture.

8's, 9's, 10's, even 13's would work well. I like to work with 13's or 15's for a nice big stitch so you can see what is happening.:yes

For practicing, an 8 or 9 or 10 is just fine. Once you start making real projects, such as clothing, then you need to coordinate the yarn recommendations with the pattern that you are using. Guage swatches are usually necessary with clothing.

Good luck learning to knit.

Knitpicks has excellent tutorials on their site and also Youtube has a lot of knitting videos that may help you learn.
