Monofilament Crochet Beadwork Question

Hi All,

 

I am new to the crochet world and am starting off by crocheting beads. I am using a US 9 steel chochet hook, 0.010 in. monofilament cord, and 11 seed beads. I am doing a chain stitch with the beads placed in between. My problem is that my beaded chain stitch is coiling up as I progress through. Please help. Thanks.

I think most people use polyester beading thread instead of mono. The mono. breaks easily.
