Celt's Vintage patterns (most of them, some 'new' ones too) are now available on a Yahoo site (you have to sign up)

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/celtsvintagecrochet/

This is filed under 'floral doilies' if you are looking for it, not in the Women's Day section.

1st row: (Dc in 4th ch from hook, making last 2 loops of dc loosely - top of this dc will be center of clover - ch 3, 2 dc in center, ch 3, sl st in center, ch 3, dc in center, ch 10) 9 times....

You do everything between the parantheses 9 times. This instruction is a bit odd in that she interrupts the instruction with 'chit chat' (the underlined part). She 'chit chats' again a bit later in row 1 where she tells you "this is center of next clover", "3 petals made" etc.
