TV show Starting Over

Has anyone watched that TV show on primetime TV called Starting Over? The season finale was last week and they are currently running re-runs until September when the new season begins.

The girls in this show always seem to have some sort of knitted/crocheted hat or scarf on. The house is in Chicago and it got pretty cold there this winter so all them hats and scarfs sure went to good use. During some of their free time you can actually see them crocheting on tv also.

I must tell you about 2 months ago I had my husband drive me into Philadelphia and we went on a yarn store hunt. The last store I went into was Sophie's Yarns ad this time my hubby stayed in the car because he was double parked as is most everyone in the city. Anyhow, while I was in there feeling up all their beautiful yarns I heard a voice that sounded very familiar to me. I turned to look over my shoulder and saw Rana. After I did a double take, I ran out the front of the store and told my husband..."Guess who is in there Dan?" When I told him (he watched the show with me too) he insisted that I go back in there and say hi.8)

So that is what I did. She was so very nice and even gave me a hug when I left. I asked her if she was a knitter or a crocheter...she replied that she crochets but is learning how to knit also. I asked her what she was doing here in downtown Philly and she said that the owner of that store was a friend of hers and she is from Philadelphia herself. They were finished taping for the summer and she came home until September.

From that moment on every time I watched that TV show and I saw those women croceting, I knew she may have just been the one to teach them.

One of the graduates, Lynell, from the house will soon be having a website where she will sell her crocheted items here is the link...I will be keeping a close eye out for it's launch

The L Chain

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it.:)

It sure looks like they are. Cute stuff though. I like the

"loose fitting shawl", can't tell what stitch that's using though.<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/scratchhead.gif" />
