Me too.

I went through my stash of dishcloths last night and found 10. I'm mailing mine off on Monday. It's the least I can do for those poor creatures that are being assaulted by that mess.

Thanks for posting this! I wasn't sure they would want crocheted cloths so I am glad to read this. I live on Florida's NW gulf coast and we are sick about this. When the slick itself arrives we will have lots of volunteer opportunities but it has felt helpless waiting for it to get here, knowing the damage it will cause here as it has already caused in LA. We are seeing some balls and a sickening sheen to the water. I used to think that rainbow effect of a little oil on water was pretty -- but no more! Now that I know it is killing our wildlife and only the portent of much worse to come, it turns my stomach! The dolphins are what I think most about. We have taken the dolphin cruises and been over in Destin harbor where they love to play with people, coming right up to your boat and showing off with unbelievable stunts and antics. I am hoping they will avoid the oil and go where they will be safe. But I wonder if they will ever return. We have enjoyed them so much and to think they will no longer be here for our children's children to enjoy is heartbreaking. Adding a pic of my dolphin friends!

The first two are a few dolphins showing off, and escorting our boat through the harbor. The next one is difficult to see but there are 6 or 7 dolphins in the pic. The water was literally swarming with dolphins that day. The last is one to show how close to the beach they come. You can tell they really love people and they will swim up on their tail to see into your boat. They are amazing!

Aaawwwww, Debra Kay those photos are precious. Thank you for helping out.

Everytime I think of that oil spill I get teary eyed. I don't know if we will every be able to use the Gulf of Mexico for anything anymore. It's awful.

I would love to help but my only problem is how much is it to send the washcloths I would have no problem helping our wildlife I am so glad I came across this section because I have been so worried about the wildlife I know the people are affected but I also think that the wildlife needs to be considered, too.

I found 8 yards of 60" cotton knit terrycloth in my fabric stash that I've cut to size and will be mailing tomorrow. I got 16 towels and about 70 washcloths out of it. Hope they like pink.
