Boo bear

This is the first time I'd crochet a bear. Some of the instructions I make up myself and some is taken from other animals limbs.

You need to take into consideration that crouching a bear is part of experiment and wonderment process.

You will find some time that the instructions are not exact and you'll need to be challenged and try by your own…

I declare in advance that there is better ways to do the overall; you are more than welcome to improve this one and send me an email with yours ideas!

8. sc, dec, 5 sc, dec, sl st loosely in next 4 sc (12 sc)

*if it won't be loosely it will be hard to work in the next round.

9. 8 sc, sl st loosely in next 4 sc (12 sc)

10. sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, sc in next 4 sl st (14 sc)

11-15. sc around (14 sc)

16-17. sc, sl st loosely in next 4 sc, 9 sc (14 sc)

18. Sc around (14 sc) * begin stuffing arm

19. 7 sc, inc, 6 sc. (15 sc)

8. inc, 5 sc, inc, ch 1 turn. (9 sc)

10. With right side facing, join the string with sc in begging ch at center of heel:

sc in end of row 1-8.

11. 2 sc in end of row 9, sl st in the same place as last sc.

12. skip the ch 1 space, (sc in next 3 hdc, sl st in next sl st) 4 times.

Now work down to the side of foot:

13. make 2 sc in end of row 9.

14. sc in end of row 8-1.

15. Sc in the same place with the first sc.

16. Do not join, place marker. In all instruction (13-16) is 38 sc.

17. Work in BL: 11 sc, sl st in sl st, (3 sc, sl st in sl st) 4 times, 11 sc. (38 sc)

18. Work in both loops, repeat round 17. (38 sc)

Note: work very tightly when dec so there will be no holes later.

19. Work in sc and sl st: 4 sc, 4 sl st, 5 sc, 6 dec, 5 sc, 4 sl st , 5 sc. (33 sc)

20. 4 sc, dec, 3 sl st, (dec, sc) 5 times, 3 sl st, dec, 4 sc. (20 sc).

21. sc, move the marker to here, 7 sc, 6 dec, 7 sc. (20 sc).

22. 6 sc, 4 dec, 6 sc. (16 sc).

23-24. sc around. (16 sc).

Stuff foot: begging by pushing tiny pieces of fiberfill into each toe, soot as you stuff.

25-28. sc in each around. (16 sc).

29. sc, move marker here, 7 sc, 2 inc, 7 sc. (17 sc).

30. 7 sc, dec, 8 sc. (16 sc).

31. 7 sc, dec, 7 sc. (15 sc).

32. (dec 3 sc) 3 times, FO with sl st in next sc, leaving a long tail for sewing. (12 sc)

Eyes (make 2):

With scrap of with yarn make MR.

1. Work 6 sc in ring.

2. 2 sc in each st around (12).

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing.

Pupils (make 2): (אישונים)

With black yarn make MR.

Work 6 sc in ring.

Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing.

Note: sew one pupil, center near lower age of each eye. Weave end into back of eye.

With tail of eye, work a small stitch in pupil to give the eye a "glint".

Overall:

Main body part-

1. String of 65 eyes. Last eye string close with the first one.

2. Dc all st around – 6 rounds.

Legs (make 2)-

1. String of 26 eyes.

2. Dc all st around – 3 rounds.

Connecting legs with main body-

1. On the 24 st of the first round make a string of 8 eyes and attach it to the first sc of first round, turn.

2. Dc in next 8 sc. Turn.

3. Dc in next 8 sc.

4. Sew the leg with main body.

High chest part-

1. Choose a spot under the location of the arm and from there: sc in next 16 sc. Turn.

2. Ch 1, Dc in each sc. Turn.

3. Ch 1, Dc in each sc. Turn.

4. Ch 1, Dc in each sc. Turn. Sl st in last sc and fasten of.

Strips (make 2)-

1. Choose a spot at the back of main body part, it spouse to be from both sides of the back.

2. Sc in next 6 sc in direction of middle back. Turn.

3. Ch 1, dc in next 6 sc. Turn. ß make 18 round

4. Sl st last sc. Fasten off.

5. Connect colloquial to the end of the strip for closing it with front part.

The strips supposed to be crossed in the back to get a X shape in the back.

Remarks:

· Attaching the hands- it is better to leave the end of the arm unfilled, and then attach the arm to the body so the unfilled part will be connected to the body with a square stitch, this allows the hands movement (this creates a shoulder joint).

· You may stitch the armpit in order to strengthening the connections.

· Finishing every last row (of limb) with sl st is preferable, because it's creates a more beautiful ending with no stair.

הערות:

· חיבור הידיים- כדאי להשאיר את קצה הזרוע לא ממולאת ולחבר את הזרוע לגוף כך שהחלק הלא ממולא מחובר לגוף (תפירת ריבוע), זה מאפשר תנועה ליד (נוצר מעיין מפרק כתף).

· ניתן לתפור את הבית שחי לצורך חיזוק.

· תמיד בסוף שורה אחרונה עדיף לעשות sl st כי זה יוצר סיומת יפה בלי מדרגה.
