Tried out Filet

Recommended Posts

After doing mainly irish lace i thought why not try out filet once? Said - did - and it was :manyheart at first sight!

I took the pattern from this book, which i highly reccomend, and slightly modified it by adding a border of my choice.

Now that i got a taste, i'm courious for more... so off to larger filet projects! :crocheting

Lovely! :yes

The author's name sounded familiar, there is one of her books here (the list of books is sorted by author, scroll down for Ketelle). It says 'book 2', maybe your book is 'book 1'? Edit - your birdie pattern is in here.

Or, do a search for "filet", it will keep you busy for a long (fun) time :)

You did wonderful work...gorgeous! I just tried out some filet work too for the first time. 50 yrs of crocheting and never did it.... I wasn't as brave as you... I made book marks. I did enjoy it however... My daughter wants me to do these peacocks from an old doily book I have... I think it's a bit hard for a beginner... Thanks for sharing your lovely art! GBU!:):)
