while sitting on my duff yesterday, i saw 2 different crocheted items

 

degrassi - a kids' show on discover kids; one of the characters had a multicolored (scrap-like) granny square bag/purse.... it was really cute.

 

russell sims def poetry - one of the poets had a crocheted skully on. it was really great thick-thin, natural grey, very loosely spun wool. maybe i'm stereotyping, but by the poetry he wrote, i wouldn't be surprised at all if he spun and made it himself. anyhow, it was done with a larger hook in dc.
