Cara - every time I see a cat, my nose gets all twitchy, I'm so allergic to them. Big Daddy's one of those guys you have to look closely at to tell if he's 20 or 60... there's just no aging him, huh?

No there's not and I hate him for it :lol He went to the doctor the other day and the nurse is used to him accompanying me. I didn't go with him and she asked him "Didn't your mom come with you?" DH says, "You mean my wife? My mom's 6'6" and lives in San Antonio." :blush He just couldn't wait to tell that of course :rolleyes

Tuon and Misa will probably be best buddies before long! DD has an 11 year old cat that she's had since college and they adopted a stray kitten about a month ago. It took Shelby about 2 days of ignoring the baby and now they play and sleep next to eachother. :)

I hope you all have a great day. :hug

Donna -you might want to sit FAR back to watch the battle if we have a sword fight. :lol

Cara- you may have said, but how did you choose the name Tuon for your kitty? If I ever get a pet I'm gonna name him Anne .

Krystal- if we are wearing buckets for helmets, then i guess we can be called BUCKETHEADS . That's another famous Hicksville saying . Or BUCKETMOUTH ( which means you TALK a lot )

Neither of US would qualify for that ,though, would we ?

I'm with the rest of you. It's almost SCAREY to think of who or WHAT is Under Arnold. It better be good, after all the blood, sweat and tears I have shed for this project .:D

Tuon is a character in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time books. They're our favorite books and she's a funny and very nifty character :yes Plus, she's a princess :manyheart

Love the name Cara! We have a new little kitty too but he is a bit bigger than yours! He is our first house cat and DD's ex boyfriend gave him to her for her birthday...he is so cute and his name is Victor, but he only answers to Knucklehead! It's our 10 year old dogs that have just started to tolerate him that I have been worried about. At first they growled and chased him a little, now they just ignore him.

Julie...I think there should be a big bowl of gravy under Arnold! A Giant Ginormous bowl of thick, rich, gooey, gravy!

Donna...I am too still deciding which quilt to do! I'm leaning towards Clay's choice first!

And did you say you guys both like reading them ?

That is pretty neat .

Sam has never enjoyed reading much, up until the last year or so and he likes reading nonfiction, usually war books . He doesnt have much free time so it takes him quite a while to read a book. He gets up at 5, gets home at 5, works a lot on people's computers and is into a couple hobbies that keep him busy, so reading kinda falls at the end of the list .

Plus, if he starts reading, I start asking him questions about the book, so he might get to read 7 sentences before I start yakking at him .

sometimes he goes OUTSIDE to read . :lol:D:lol

Yes, we both read pretty much the same kind of books. Fantasy and crime novels :lol We bought an iPod and our new thing this year is audio books. We got a bunch of our favorite books on audio book and he loaded them on the iPod and we listen to them in the evening then discuss them before bed. Can you say "heaven"? :manyheart

Well, aint that just neat ? I have always wished I had a husband who liked to read the same things I did, so I had a reading -partner type person, but ,alas, I didn't get one.

He's got lots of other good points though so I can't complain . :lol

Cara, that is so cool. Mike likes reading non fiction too. But he doesn't read very often at all.

I'm going to try to get to the site today but it may be tomorrow morning since Mike's home all day and my online time is limited when he is home. I will take a look at the patterns again and make a firm decision by morning I think.:lol Who knows I may make a block and change my mind:lol

I've been having so much fun today. :) I went through my yarn and patterns and rearranged my sewing room. Of course, I have 3 ghans in progress, but I came across a scarf that is over half done and I 'm going to finish it before going back to big projects. Hope you are all having a great day. :manyheart

OOO Mary, I love organizing my stash! I haven't figured out which I enjoy more- planning/buying/ petting yarn or actually crocheting! Then again, maybe it isn't that tough to figure out. My daughter came in this morning, took one look at the Around the World I'm working on, and asked me why I started yet another project.

My hubby and teenage son really like the scifi fantasy stuff- it is really fun listening to them discussing some classic scifi book/author hubby got for ds. I'm definately a crime novel kinda gal, I'm afraid. They just roll their eyes. I used to put away a decent sized book in a day or two, but not lately... it's all you guys' fault!

And good job on the UFO rescue!

Julie, I have two of Dot's scrumptuous scraps going, and I have them named by colorways. I have cottage garden for my 5yog and Forest for my 6yob. Waterfall (for the 9yog) and Volcano (for the 8yob) haven't been started yet, but I have totes where I am collecting yarns for them. It is just too hot to do one piece afghans right now! I had planned on doing one for my 16yos in browns (Desert) so that all of the kids would have heirlooms to match, but now he is in love with RH camo print, so who knows. Sheesh, men!

Below are links to the two I've started if you wanna take a peek.
