How do you make a circle into a square?

i have done granny squares which start out as circles and you have to do 2dc ch2 2dc to make into corners for the squares. :hook

I have a question - do you mean to do those stitches in ONE stitch, or in four different stitches?

The one I did you did a triple crochet like you would do a normal dc corner for a regular granny square, then ch 1, then in the next space you dc'd three times and ch 1 then do a hdc in the next to spaces, ch 1 between each of them, then ch 1 and repeat the pattern backwards until you get to the triples again. You just do that on four "Sides" and it becomes a square.
