I love capelets.

Hi, I'm new here and I thought I'd skip starting a new thread about who I am, and just post pics of my stuff...

 

I'm a high school math teacher and have have spent the last month of my two month vacation CROCHETING. Every day. For hours. The first week I got a cramp in my right index finger I never thought would go away.

 

This was adapted from Interweave Knits Crochet issue "Salon Capelet," made in this glorious Debblie Bliss "Soho- Reds" yarn.

 

 

 

And this is adapted from a kid's pattern in "Too Cute Crochet," by Cynthia Preston in an old nylon ribbon yarn from Grandma's old stash.

The sheen amd drape of the old ribbon yarn is awesome! What totally gorgeous yarn. I suppose they don't make that anymore, huh? Both capelets are beautiful.
