bgs Posted July 13, 2010 I'm so sorry to hear about your brother I would love to try and help out as much as I can. I will try and see if I can find any black cotton yarn. Since I usually have to do my yarn shopping at wal mart my supplies are few but I might be able to make a special trip to some other places when my fiance gets paid this weekend just to try and find some. Do you remember when you sent the square? It took almost a month to receive it back as undeliverable. I double checked again just to be sure and I did send it to the address in the list. I think that he would like anything that would let him know that he hasn't been forgotten. Heather, I am in same boat as sweetpossibilities, but soon as I can acquire the yarn, I will pm you and see if you still need them. What size hook do you use with the cotton yarn to get the 12" size? I printed out the pattern to be ready when I can get the yarn. to you and your brother. I used an "H" hook... By the way...I know that for many of you, it is difficult to find cotton yarn, so please don't feel bad if you are not able to send squares...I am confident that I will get enough help to finish his afghan in a timely manner. The response was so great that I'm making a 20 sq one for Jaycee (my cousin's wife), 12 sq one for their oldest son, 6 sq ones for the 2 babies. I'm going to make 2 more so I have at least one square in each blanket. SO I need 4 more squares if anyone can help! If I get more than I need I'll make the babies blankets bigger! I got some of the variegated (spelling according to Word and AOL ) black/gray/white. And a ton of other cotton (Walmart had some colors on clearance). Beautiful squares being received too!
