Angry tortoise

This tortoise was a gift for my mum.

 

The shell is made out of hexagons and these were crocheted together.

Sorry, no pattern. I make them up as I go along. I've tried making patterns in the past, but they would simply be too complicated. Half of the time I don't even understand what I did

He's so cute. Wish there was a pattern. But understand why you don't have one. I suspect that is what will happen to me when I start making up my own pieces. I just LOVE him! I adore tortoises and turtles anyway, I have a real pet turtle, but I've always wanted to make an amigurumi turtle or toitoise. There are several patterns available that I have been wanting to try, but thus far all I've ended up doing is collecting tortoise/turtle patterns. Have you written this pattern down? I'd love to add it to my collection to make eventually.
