American Idol...Didi's Vest

I love the vest Didi wore last week on American Idol. I don't think it was crocheted, but it was hard to tell. If it wasn't done in crochet, I think it could be. I am not even close to being a designer, but if a designer or creative mind happened to see it...I would love a pattern for it.

I watched ellen when Didi Benami was on the show April 8th, she wore the cutest fringed vest. I have searched high & low for a pattern. I'm not confident enough to do a project without a pattern.
