AntimaCATssar

Granny Square

Recommended Posts

I just finished this, the last of my Christmas gifts are done, yay! This is from a pattern from Woman's day magazine from September 1984. I modified the eyes to be (hopefully) more cat-like, the pattern used a diamond lacet for eyes, which unfortunately made the eyes look like Xs.

That's beautiful work.... I also enjoyed viewing your album with the many lovely doilies.... WOW! I need to get back into doilies! I've never done a filet/graph one.... I wonder if there is a book that will teach you how?... Thanks for sharing... GBU!:):)

Thanks everyone!

Terry, I'm hoping my SIL will use it as a chair cloth/antimacassar, so I'm not framing it. I have a large (round, not filet) doily that I'm putting to that use, which she remarked on when they visited last summer, and they have a cat, so....

Dawn, here are a couple of free sites that can get you started on filet. It's really easy once you get the hang of counting the grids.
