I am going to be starting the Stitch Sampler Ghan, also called Lace and Bobbles after Jan 1, I thought I would get this started so people had time to get the book and yarn etc but not interfere with the holiday rush. This gives you plenty of time. I got my "Afghans for All Seasons" a few weeks ago and have been slowly gathering yarn in a box for this in between the Holiday projects.

Here is the info:

Stitch Sampler is its name in Leisure Arts #100318, Afghans for All Seasons.

Lace and bobbles is the name in the Leisure Arts #2159: Scrap Yarn Afghans Book Two.

Description: (from the book) You can use your scrap yarn to make this unique throw, which features a sampling of delightful stitches.

Finished Size: Approximately 61” x 61”

If you want to see pictures, there are a bunch on Ravelry at:

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/stitch-sampler

and

Anyone want to join me?

Hugs

Kath

Years ago, I did this afghan twice but I never finish them. I frogged them to use scraps for another project.

I will keep an eye on this thread when it got active again. :yes

Great! maybe having friends to do it with will help you to finish one!

Hugs

I am thinking about this one I just got some chenille, (I have never crocheted with it before) wonder if it would work with this pattern.

I searched through some links on the ville yesterday and one of them is one made with chenille I think, let me see if I can find it again.

Here it is, someone made one with Chenille:

I think I saw one done in chenille on Ravelry page. Look pretty!

I did the sampler when I was a beginner crocheter years ago. Now I love to do huge crochet projects with the challenges in it. :manyheart

This time, I am thinking about doing it in thread. Thought it will be something very different.

My aunt gave me the leisure arts book with this pattern in it a while back and I have had my eye on it every since but haven't given it a try. This would be a great time to get started I just have to gather my scrap yarn and make sure that i have enough. I always seem to say that i will use scrap but end up buying more yarn :)

I am hoping to use scraps too, but we'll have to see! I have some yarn out for it, but I am determined to not buy yarn this year.

Hi,

I've had this one in my WIM pile a while. A CAL may be just what I need to get going on it. I'll check in after the hoilday rush. Maybe by then I'll have some of the yarn rounded up! I have tons in my stash I'd love to put to good use. It will depend on the colors though. I really like the one pictured in the "Seasons" book with the rust center.

Thanks for thinking of this!

happy crocheting,

I have had this pattern for a long time. If I remember correctly, I bought the pattern for the "granny's daughter" pattern on the front cover. It really would make a nice coverlet for a bed wouldn't it?

I just "gifted" a lot of my leftover yarn, though. :( What to do? :think OMG...I'd have to buy "more yarn"! :yarn I need to think about this one...

Deb you crack me up! :lol I have to admit...I dug out my pattern & the more I look at, the more I imagine it on the bed in my daughter's room. :yes To top it off...I'm thinking of which colors to use! So, I guess I'm in!!! :hook I just have to make a plan, because (of course) I still have other projects to finish! I wonder what life would be like if we only had one project going at a time? :think
