Strand Knitting

It's sometimes called "Fair Isle Knitting". I found a book at the library called " Hat Heads-1 man + 2 needles= 50 Fun Hat designs". It's written by a man who made up patterns for 50 knitted hats. The book is wonderful and really explains how to do strand knitting.

I started a hat last night with some yellow and blue yarn. And I'm almost done with it. I can't believe I have finally figured out how to do strand knitting. It looks so hard, but it really isn't.

I am making a hat with hearts all the way around it. I worked up to the point that I finished the hearts before I put it away for the night. And this morning at my knitting/crochet group, I started working on the crown. So as soon as I get it finished, I will have my dd post a picture of it. I'm just so excited.

This book is really good.

Thank you for sharing this information, I know I appreciate it greatly. Anything that involves more than two needles terrifies me...lol! Would love to see a picture of the finished hat. Thanks again!!
