ok, I have had some free time today so I've been on the net looking for browns threads. Are there any other sites that carrys size 10,20,30 in threads all in the same color for example I would like Blue in size 10,20,30. I have been to alot of places, and love Handy Hands. Been to Herrshners, May M,Knitting Warehouse,Annnies Attic, E-bay,etc and more. We do need a Thread Warehouse! So since we all do threads here maybe I could get some more sites and places from you. In the old days we could get size 10,20,30 all in the same color.

It seems lately that I don't have the right shades :(....I like to plan ahead when starting projects, and I have alot of threads. 8 totes just in threads. so I'm looking for more shades.

Lordy I don't need no more whites,creams.Tans,Ecru.

Hoping there more sites than what I looked at today. Hoping you all know of more sites.

Thanks..:yes :yes :yes

Alas, you may already have found all there is to find. Fewer thread manufacturers are producing colored size 30 threads. Some make only sizes 20 and 40. To make it worse, many web merchants only sell size 10 and LARGER...

I just tried to reach a site that sold Omega threads, but they are no longer extant.

If anyone can add to your list, I hope she does because I would like to have a larger collection of fine, colored crochet threads. I only have a twenty years' supply and I have a fear of using up all my threads before I pass my tiny hooks to the next generation.

I have found this store Yarn and Threads by Lisa . She carries DMC cebelia, Aunt Lydias and a number of other threads and yarns. Her prices are good and shipping is reasonable.

She has the Cebelia in 10, 20 and 30. I actually got the link to her store from here on the ville!

Hope you find what you are looking for there!

TLOL,

Toni

Jennie Gaskin carries Cebelia and Optima:

And there's Lacis:

The threads are on different pages, so it takes a bit of looking through the catalog. Their website won't let a specific page URL be saved. In the Materials section, under Cotton, there is a thread listed as #30, called Madeira, and there is a color chart with some splendid choices. Hope this is actually a #30 thread.

In the Needlework, DMC... section there is a German thread listed as Cordonnet Flora. It comes in size 10 and 20. There is a color card. I bought some of the Fuchsia in size 10. It's a brilliant color, like nothing I've seen elsewhere.

Perhaps a swap with someone in another country?

I agree, the thread selection could be better. :)
