Alpaca scarf in bright pink

I recently found a beautiful skein of alpaca on sale at my LYS. There was just the one skein but I had to buy it. i figured I would start a scarf, and if there wasn't enough yarn for a whole scarf, I would turn it into a cowl. It worked out perfectly; the end of the yarn came at the end of a row, with 6" left over to weave in. the stitch pattern is simple: you alternate shells (dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc) and sc. on following row, sc in the middle dc of shell, and shell in sc. the staggered shell pattern is kept in line by doing a half shell of 2dc at each end of every other row. My scarf is 5 shells wide. every other row is half-shell, 4 shells, half-shell. the yarn was locally produced http://www.alpacasauxvasse.com/
