My son's high school had a rummage sale.

 

for 25 cents each I got

 

Leisure Arts leaflet 1098 Doorknob covers to crochet (really cut)

 

Crochet companion, it is a supplement to Crochet with heart.

 

and a few laynard books, and 5 pony bead books to make beadie buddies.

 

 

 

 

I went to my library used book store and I got

 

Sugar and Cream around the seasons in wreaths .50 cents

 

crochet Floral dishcloths (from house of white birches)

 

 

and this really cool book on the history of Spinning raw material into yarn..

 

 

I also got a lot of plastic canvas books too.

Good for you! Rummage sales and garage sales are excellent sources to find all kinds of things. Happy shopping.

Congrats on your great finds!! I too have had TREMENDOUS luck with yard sales this summer!! I've bought--so far--at one yard sale--5 full unused skeins of various colors, 4 partly used, and some small rolls of scraps--all for $5.00. At another yard sale I got 5 skeins (almost full) for $1.00, plus some rolls of scraps. At 3 other sales, combined, I got (all together) 10 skeins of partially used yarn (various kinds) for a total of $3.00!! And my husband helps me find it!! You'd think he'd quickly escort me back to the car--rather than have me buy more yarn that I REALLY don't have room for anymore!! (He's a Keeper!!)

Congratulations to everyone on their great finds at yard sales and flea markets. On the way home from church today I noticed a sign in front of another church near my house that is advertising a rummage sale for next Saturday. In the past I have gone to this church's rummage sales and have found some good craft buys. Now after reading about everyone else's good finds I will have to go to this one. I have not been for a couple of years now. But I will be there next Saturday if the Lord is willing and the creek don't rise.
