:cheerWe have partnered with Lands End to create 25,000 hats for the homeless and those in need across the USA from Sept till Dec 31st 2009 and we need help!

WOW_ that's wonderful that you signed on to be a Chapter Area Volunteer! We need dozens more to do that - long term, as we have so many states without Chapters still. When the hat challenge is done we still need our chapters to make whatever their shelters need. This is going to be a cold winter.

I am working on hats for you. This is my first time to make hats and I just love it. So far they are for ladies only and using up lots of my stash. Will add a few more and get them in the mail to you.

I've made a bunch and will be turning them into my local chapter area volunteer, who lives about 3 miles from me! I'm looking forward to meeting someone local I found through Crochetville and this cause!
