Drops design - improvements

I've just been looking at the Drops design site and it seems to have been improved significantly since the last time I was there.

 

First, you can now search both by Crochet and by Women (or children) for example.

 

Second, the thumbnail images that show in your search results now display underneath both the yarn used AND more importantly the size of hook.

 

Third, when you put your mouse over a picture, you get an enlarged image, so you can get a better look without clicking waiting for that pop-up window to open up.

There are several patterns I like of theirs, but I couldn't follow them to save my life. To confusing! And thats the american version

I sometimes wonder of their other langauge version include proper stitch graphics. One of the english ones I tried did, it was the first time I'd used such a diagram and it was a revelation. Why don't we include them all the time? I've tried to look a few times, but those other languages are just completely beyond me, it might as well be written in ancient sanskrit.

 

I haven't made anything of theirs for ages, but I quite fancy that little brown skirt.

They have some great patterns. I have tried a few of the smaller projects with success. There are several coverups and light sweater type patterns I think I will print out. I think you are right about it being easier to navigate now.
