Basic doll pattern

Materials:

Crochet thread of skin color, hook recommended by thread provider

 

Abbreviations:

 

Sc- single crochet

Ch – chain

St – stitch

Dec – 2 crochets together (Insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop. Insert hook into next stitch and draw up a loop. Yarn over, draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Hdc - half double crochet

dc - double crochet

 

The head + body

1 rnd: Ch 2, 10 scs in to 2nd st from the hook. Work in continuous rounds, do not join. = 10 sts

2 rnd: 2 scs in each st around = 20 sts

3 rnd: *sc in first st, 2 sc in next* repeat around = 30 sts

4 rnd: *sc in each of 2 sts, 2 scs in next st* repeat around = 40 sts

5 rnd: *sc in each of 3 sts, 2 scs in next st* repeat around = 50 sts

6 rnd: *sc in each of 4 sts, 2 scs in next st* repeat around = 60 sts

7-17 rnds: sc in each st around = 60 sts

18 rnd: dec 9 times, *dec, 5 sc* repeat 5 times , dec, 5 sc = 45 sts

19-25 rnds: sc in each st around = 45 sts

26 rnd: *dec, 2 sc* repeat 4 times, *dec, 1 sc* repeat 9 times, 2 sc = 32 sts

27 rnd: *dec, 1 sc* repeat 4 times, dec 9 times = 18 sts

28 rnd: *dec, 4 sc* repeat around = 15 sts

29-30 rnds: sc in each st around = 15 sts

31 rnd: *sc in each of 2 sts, 2 scs in next st* repeat around = 20 sts

32 rnd: *sc in first st, 2 sc in next* repeat around = 30 sts

33 rnd: *sc in each of 2 sts, 2 scs in next st* repeat around = 40 sts

34-51 rnds: sc in each st around = 40 sts

52 rnd: *dec, 2 sc* repeat around = 30 sts

53 rnd: *dec, 1 sc* repeat around = 20 sts

54 rnd: dec repeat around = 10 sts

55 rnd: dec repeat around = 5 sts

End, fasten, cut

 

Ears: Join yarn into the 12 round of the head, work down, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc. End, cut, hide the end of the yarn in the head. Do the same on the opposite side of the head for second ear.

 

Hands:

1 rnd: Ch 2, 8 scs in to 2nd st from the hook. Work in continuous rounds, do not join. = 8 sts

2 rnd: 2 scs in each st around = 16 sts

3 rnd: *sc in each of 3 sts, 2 scs in next st* repeat around = 20 sts

4-7 rnds: sc in each st around = 20 sts

8 rnd: *dec, 3 sc* = 15 sts

9 rnd: *dec, 3 sc* = 12 sts

10 rnd: sc in each st around = 12 sts

11 rnd: *sc in each of 2 sts, 2 sc in next st* repeat around = 16 sts

12-26 rnds: sc in each st around = 16 sts

27 rnd: *dec, 3 sc* repeat around = 12 sts

28 rnd: *dec, 1 sc* repeat around = 8 sts

29 rnd: dec repeat around = 4 sts

End, fasten, cut

 

 

Legs:

1 rnd: 5 ch, 1 sc in the 2nd st from the hook, 2 sc, 5 scs in the last st. Continue around on the down part of a chain. 2 sc, 2 scs in the last chain. Work in continuous rounds, do not join = 12 sts

2 rnd: 2 scs in first st, sc in each of 2 next sts, 2 scs in each of next 5 sts, sc in each of 2 next sts, 2 sts in each of next 2 sts = 20 sts

3 rnd: *2 scs in st, sc in each of 3 next sts* repeat around = 25 sts

4-5 rnd: sc in each st around = 25 sts

5 rnd: 6 sc, dec, dec, 5 sc, dec, dec, 6 sc = 21 sts

6 rnd: 5 sc, dec, dec, 3 sc, dec, dec, 5 sc = 17 sts

7 rnd: 4 sc, dec, dec, 1 sc, dec, dec, 3 sc, dec (using first st of the next rnd) = 12 sts

8 rnd: *sc in each of 2 sts, 2 scs in next st* repeat aroung = 16 sts

9 rnd: *sc in each of 3 sts, 2 scs in next st* repeat around = 20 sts

10-28 rnds: sc in each st around = 20 sts

29 rnd: *dec, 3 sc* repeat around = 12 sts

30 rnd: *dec, 1 sc* repeat around = 8 sts

31 rnd: dec repeat around = 4 sts

End, fasten, cut

 

Sew hands and legs to the body.

Make hair on the head, stitch eyes, nose and lips.

Under Head & Body where is round 14?

Thank you for notice, there should be rounds 14-17, not 15-17 the same amount of single crochet in each. It was my mistake. I'll correct it in my pattern.

 

And sorry if there are some mistakes, it's my first so complex pattern...:blush

So, how long do we have to wait for the clothes pattern? She is just so cute but we can't have her getting cold! :(

 

PS. I finally joined Crochetville so I could ask about the clothes pattern. :nworthy

It's going to be soon, maybe this weekend already. I can't let her get cold really, so i'll write it down as soon as possible ;)
