Bag Yarn?

I want to make some bags and am unsure of what yarn to use. I have red heart, Vanna's Choice and then the Lily Sugar N Cream yarn. What is the best to use? I preferably don't want it to stretch too much. Also, what stitch is the best?

Acrylic will stretch but if you plan to line your bags, that cuts back on the stretching. I use cotton mostly for bags just because I like it. I recently finished a bag w/Lion Brand cotton, F hook, single crochet with hdc thrown in for some nice detail. It made a tight fabric. To cut down on the stretching, I used a vinyl strap instead of a crocheted one, and I put a piece of plastic canvas on the bottom for support.

I used a smaller hook size but made the starting chain a little longer, also did a few more rows than was called for. The strap I got at Joann's with my 40% off coupon.
