Please note that this will not take a lot of use and abuse. If someone can suggest a product that will securely bond the plastic parts please post the info and I will add it here.

I checked Beth's suggestion and this product E6000 looks like it might work. If anyone has experience with it and can add support ... just thanks

I made the table and chair using plastic containers most people have around the house. Or they know someone who does :wlol.

The chair uses a 2L ice cream container and a sour cream container. Cut the 2L container into a chair back shape as shown. Use double sided mounting tape to hold the two parts together.

The table uses a tall yogurt container with a large margarine tub top.

Use 2 strands of yarn to make the seat portion of the cover. I used RH comfort Navy blue. (it’s a pounder) The hook is 6mm.

Join all rounds

Ch 2

Row 1: 8 hdc in 2nd ch from hook.

Row2-3: 2 hdc in ea hdc. (32 hdc @ row 3)

Row 4: *hdc in 7, 2hdc in next* around.(36 hdc)

Row 5: Set the piece into your chair with the loop at the side as shown. Loop a marker to mark the other side of the seat back(in gold). Count the stitches between the two loops so you can make a chain that length- plus one . Sc around the front of the cover making increases if necessary to keep it flat. Chain your needed number then join

For this round I have 18 sc in 15 sts and then a chain 22 to replace 21 hdc. :wlol

Cover chair back…

Row 6: Work in hdc in back loops only on the seat portion and Front loops only on the chain sts. Work around all sts. Ch 1 and turn to continue. Continue to work up the back of the chair making decreases as needed to fit your back shape. Stitch the front and back together and tidy ends.

The base trim. Attach a single strand of yarn and work any stitch pattern you like to get to the ‘floor’. I worked a [2dc, ch1, 2dc] shell and with a FPdc in between. I did the last row with 6 dc in shell and the FPdc.

Table. Work a standard circle pattern to fit the top and extend over the edge just a bit. I did 4 rows of dc and one row of sc for that extra bit over the edge. I used the same ‘drape’ that I used on the chair.

To cover the ‘pedestal, I made a chain that just fit the top circumference and crocheted a tube. I only increased by 2 stitches (scattered over odd rounds). I worked 6 solid rows then two rows of decorative molding ( :wlol ) the first decorative row was V-st/ dc and the last row was [2dc, ch1, 2dc] with a FPdc as for the chair.

I do not have a problem with people/groups using my patterns to make a little extra money by physically making them and selling the items they make.

However, I do not permit the selling of my patterns for money. I have once given permission for a booklet to be made of them for a charitable sale and I may do so again *if I am asked* and if it is for a church, charity or school type group. But first you have to ask.

Furthermore, If you choose to use my patterns as a money maker, I do not permit my images to be used for any advertizing of your work. You must make your own item and photograph that. These images are as much a part of my Web image as a designer as the patterns are and I reserve that use to myself alone.

Beautiful and cute furniture! Have you tried WeldBond or E6000 glue? I'd be hard-pressed to find adhesives more versatile than those!

You can get them online too! Hope this helps you.

I have used e-6000 to repair the leg on my foot stool and a leg on my sewing chest as well as a variety of broken knick knacks and just about anything else you can think of. That is the best thing about this glue, you can use it on anything from wood to ceramics to plastic to metal and it works.
