hobo denim bag???

This is a free pattern I'm attempting to make. It says EASY but I'm having a time w/it!! After getting help to understan the pattern-rnds 6, 7, esp., I've found myself almost unmoving. I was making stitches but the bag just was NOT appearing!! So I switched hooks, twice! Now I'm using a larger one-I and I can see progress but still.........seems like this should NOT take soooooo long!!! I love the look of this bag but I'm about to give up:think

 

Any one else make this?? What's your take on it??

That is a cute bag! The problem I am seeing for you is that the bag is #1 made using #3 thread (not a very big yarn), and #2 it is done entirely in sc. Did you notice that you will be doing "92" rounds before you get to the straps? If you are on rnd 7, you only have 85 more rnds to go. Good luck!

I just ripped the ENTIRE thing apart!!

I'm using peaches N creme & an I hook.

 

I'm determined...............

 

But if any one has a similar pattern I open to suggestions:)

I just love the 'look' of this one.

Have you tried the Lion Brand site? I believe they have some bags similar to this one.
