? about poncho in progress

JPorter718

Question

I am working on this really cool Butterfly Split Sleeve Poncho, and was stuck on the pattern.

I've emailed the designer and haven't gotten a reply yet...

Does anybody know what 'shell over shell' means, what do I do for that??

thanks all!

I recently worked a pattern that had that term in it, What that means( at least in the pattern I used ) is ( 2dc's,ch2, 2Dc's) in a space in the next round or row You'd work the Shell stitch:( 2dc's,ch2, 2Dc's) Over the shell you made in the previous row or round, hence the term shell over shell.

Oh my gosh, that pattern is so beautiful I just bought it myself after clicking on the link. Can I ask what kind of yarn you are using and how much does it take? I might start shopping the sales before my pattern gets here!! I'm sooooo excited to make this poncho. It's so elegant and sexy!!!:yay2

Oooo! That is gorgeous! *drops jaw and drools* Would you be able to tell me what size yarn it uses before I buy it? I want to see if I have anything good laying around or if I need to buy some.
