Binding off too tight

I'm making a baby sweater for the county fair. I want it to be as perfect as possible. So I was wondering, because I know I usually bind off rather tightly, is there a way to make it a little looser when I bind off? I'm using a size 10 needle now. Can I switch up to an 11 to give me a little more in the bind off row?

 

Or is there another thing I can do to prevent it from being so tight.

I would try switching up to a larger sized needle to bind off. I have trouble with binding of to tight also and that's what I do. Works pretty good.

I usually have to go up a size too before i bind off. That helps a lot. I dont have to do it as often now but it does take a lot of practice.

There is a single crochet bind-off that I use sometimes and it comes out looking rather nice. It's never too tight.

Going up a size really helps. On the body of the sweater, I was using a size 10, so I used 11 to bind off. On the sleeve, I was using 8's, so I used a 9 and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the tips.
