We don't know yet if that is what it is or where it started. We suspect she has had it for 3 years so even if that is how it started it could be much worse by now. However we are hopeful since that type of cancer grows really slow.

Her appointment is for Tuesday so all we can do is wait.

She has uterine cancer.

She is going to have more test including an MRI and the surgery is set up for July 17th. She well need to take kemo as an out patient also. They well know more when they do the surgery.

Still need lots of squares. Would love to have this done by the time she goes in for surgery.

I am also a survivor, 21 years now. It was found at my 6 week checkup after my last child. They wanted to do chemo and I refused, something just told me it was not right. I had 3 appts to discuss it with the doc an dshe finally agreed to just do radical laser surgery and I had to have an extensive pap every 3 months. Alter 2 years we went to every 6 months. I have had no other probems.

I mailed the squares earlier today, it's the first time I have done this and I wasn't sure what the best way to get them to you was so I hope they arrive safely. My grandmother who is 87 years old is a 44 year survivor of uterine cancer.

Just wanted to let you know I received 3 very nice squares from Yeates (sorry no crochetville name on the package)today and I received two more from TCarra along with a very nice card.

This makes 11 so far and it is time to start getting these ready to put together. She is going to love it.

My sister had some more test run yesterday. Her iron is so low that two days before the surgery they need to give her 3 units of blood. She is also diabetic(more then likely this is cause she is so over weight but she don't believe me and it is politcly incorrect for a dr to tell her that) and needs to get her sugar levels down before the surgery.

Gee if it ain't one thing it is another.

I have a sq ready to go into todays mail. I swore I had dusty rose, but it turned out to be something else:eek. So I put together some colors I think will go with dusty rose. (I hope) If you can't use them for this, then please feel free to use it for something else or pass it on.

I too am a diabetic. It does cause weight problems and the meds (argggg):angry can make the problems worse. A never ending circle. She has to get those numbers in check for the surgery. Healing is always tough for a diabetic but high numbers makes it worse. They would not do my hubby's hernia operation because his numbers were so high and he was strangluting. They waited two days and used insulin to bring his numbers down. I fought with him for months about following the doc and being a diabetic. He always said he wasn't one. He got lucky & his numbers came down and they did the surgery. But it was awful close for awhile there.

I so hope your sister will be ok. She is in our daily prayers. :hug:manyheart

Hugs Goldie

Thank you so much. I am sure your square well be perfect. I can't find any dusty rose here so far all I have found is a cranberry mist and a few other dark colors.

Well it look odd with dark and light color squares? Some of the squares I have well need a row or two added to make them 12 inches and I'll have to use the darker colors I have to do that and to join them.

Before I do that I have one more place to check on yarn however my hours have been cut again (and hubby's work is slower then ever) so well have to rob the piggy bank and hope I have enough for a skien or two.

hmmmmm....I got the dusty rose at my Wally World. As for the dark and light colors, depends on the colors. You might join or add to squares with the cranberry mist. The color I used besides dusty rose was natural. Question, how short are you on squares? Like, how many more do you need? More of the dusty rose or of the natural?

If I get all that have been promised I should be good. I was shooting for a large one but since then changed my mind. So shooting for 20 I have 11 at the house and I think five on the way? And I plan to make a couple myself.

So one or two more should do it.

I think the light with dark will look ok. I have some Caron SS Country wine here and was holding it up to the other lighter colors and it looks pretty. Then I was in menards today looking at wallpaper and they had some that ranged from a rose to dark, dark wine, to some very light, pale pink and it was gorgeous.:hug (but this wall paper is for my craft room, and flowery isn't what i want.)

The thing is, she is going to love:manyheart it no matter what!!! And it will do exactly what it is suppose to do, give some comfort:hug and let her know others are thinking of her and keeping her in their prayers and letting her know she is not alone in this battle. But I also understand you want it to be perfect for her. And it will BE!!!:hook:yarn

I really hope things improve for you as well. The last thing you need is added stress of finances right now. If you need more squares as well, i can send them. I really wish I could find the dusty rose. 6 walmarts, 2 hobby lobbies and a michaels an not one skien. argggg.:angry. Stay strong sister.
