bead crochet

I just attempted my first jewelry with wire/bead crochet and I think they worked out pretty well! I found a video on

that I based my pieces on.

to make each one, I crocheted 2 or 3 strands of beads, and left a tail of about 3 inches at each end. Then I braided the 2 or 3 strands together...I twisted the tails together like a tiny rope and put a few more beads on, threaded the 'rope' through the clasp and made a loop, and then twisted that 'rope' back around itself...if that makes sense! Then I trimmed the wires as closely as I could and squished down any pointy ends.

 

I'm going to try using crimp beads to secure the ends to see if that looks a bit neater.
