  5. I know I've seen this before but was looking for ideas about what to do with my carefully curated yarn collection that is taking over my closet and garage. So what is your favorite stashbusting scrap afghan?
  6. One day, I will have a well organized crafting area and toward that goal, I made yet another stash bag. You can read about this and another stash bag adventure here.
  7. ...Nor any scrap to knit! http://wildknitter.blogspot.com/2012/09/yarn-yarn-every-where.html A humorous look at too much stash, too little yarn to use for a specific project.

  10. A tongue-in-cheek post dedicated to stealth yarn acquisition... http://wildknitter.blogspot.com/2011/07/helpful-hint-9-managing-your.html
  11. In my attempt to organize my crochet empire/guest room, it became clear that I needed still more stash bags to contain all of the yarn. Here a blog post about this most recent effort, and here is the finished stash bag:
  12. I made this stash bag using this pattern with several modifications. First, I used a feltable vintage wool first sold in the late 60s or early 70s. Second, I used an 8.0mm hook to crochet with rather than a 6.0mm hook. Third, I made the straps about twice as long as you would get if you followed the directions. Fourth, I gave the handles a wider base. Fifth, I felted and dyed it at the same time using pink lemonade flavored Kool-Aid to update the color a bit. If you want to read more about this adventure, I have blogged about it here, and here.
  13. I just completed my 13th bag in this not-yet-completed series. Here is a group photo along with this link to a recent blog post about my search for the perfect collective noun to describe this collection and this link to the (free) pattern I used to make all of these bags.
