  1. Horsy

    Yarn for skirt.

G'morning. I thought of making a skirt for myself and was wondering if certain fibers could possibly become deformed in the back of the skirt where you sit. Does anyone know which yarns might be more suitable for such a project? Thanx. My thinking is bamboo or silk but am not sure even of those. And silk would cost too much.
  2. This is a crochet tutu set I made with the matching headband for a client I met on Instagram. She wanted the colors peach and cream since they were from Georgia. I thought the gold accent would look great with it.
  3. This Baby skirt pattern is made using caron simply soft yarn and a G4.25mm hook http://www.thelavenderchair.com/2015/04/20/stacked-shells-baby-skirt-pattern/
  4. I made these Easter outfits for my grandchildren. My grandson's is not a traditional Easter outfit but it's what he wanted. My granddaughter also picked out the fabric for her outfit. I used Simplicity 3856 for the shirt and simplicity 2907 for the pants. I used Elsa form Maja's Heirloom patterns for the top and Simplicity 2083 for the skirt.
  5. I need to replicate a crocheted skirt that I have. The skirt has sentimental value and is 29 years old, made by my great-aunt (she's no longer with us, so I can't ask her how she made it, and it's my understanding that she made it from the top of her head, no pattern). I would consider myself an intermediate crocheter, but i work strictly off patterns. If I don't have a row by row word pattern, I have no clue. I'm trying to reverse engineer it, but I think I need the help of a crocheting expert! I put a bunch of pictures here: http://www.alittlewebsite.com/hosting/crochetskirt.html , if anyone is able to decipher by just looking. Alternatively, I'm trying to figure out if there are people that do that sort of thing that I could bring it to (like a seamstress but for crochet) to help me come up with a pattern.
