So I just made my first slouchy beanie. It needs work but I am pleased that I got the concept of the design. When I started the first hat curled and the second look more like a skirt. I just kept unraveling the yarn and starting over I wanted to get it right. It was from this forum that I found what I had to do and realized that I may have been crocheting to tightly. My only issue are the slip stitches are not very clean I'm not sure if there is a general rule of leaving space between you last stitch and the first stitch to achieve symmetry. Proud nonetheless!
Lillycrochets posted a topic in Crochet Stitch HelpI've just learned the half double crochet stitch. I have been doing it and I just realized that the bottom half of my project looks correct, but the top (the most recent) looks like a single stitch. I know for sure I haven't changed anything. If you look on the other side, the correct stitch is on the top and incorrect on the bottom. What's going on??
CraftyChrysti posted a topic in General Crochet HelpI need some help with figuring out why this is happening. I am making a baby afghan for a close friend who just had a baby an afghan for her little man. I found this website that shows how to do this pattern, but for some reason as I the blanket gets longer the sides flare out and it becomes increasingly wider. I am going to go see her baby for the first time in about a week so I need to figure this out quick. The picture I took of the blanket shows exactly what is happening. Please help me find a solution...Thanks!
