  1. I can usually figure out my way through a pattern but I am unsure on this one I am making the beret on First Beret pattern by Red Heart https://www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/LW2741.pdf I have finished through Rnd 6 and have 30 3-dc crochet groups as described. Rounds 7-10 are repeat Rnd 4. I wish it told me how many 3-dc groups there are in this row. Can I assume that it will remain steady at 30? I am working into row 6 which had two groups of 3-dc worked in every other space to make an increase. thanks for looking at this!
  2. I'm not a very experienced knitter but I do enjoy making one or two skein garter stitch scarves for gifting. Last weekend at a church sale I bought three skeins of a Red Heart yarn called Boutique Magical. The colors were pretty and I liked the way it had different textures to it. Gracious, what a hoot it turned out to be. There were at least four or five separate weights/textures in each skein as well as fairly long color bands. I'm glad I decided to knit with it because I think crocheting would have made me tear out a few handfuls of hair.....lol. Has anyone used this yarn? Do you hav
  3. Hello everybody! I am a relatively new crocheter, been at it just a few years now. I am working on my first sweater and I am needing help understanding the sleeve workings. http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/crochet-cable-cardi I get up to row 5, just after the increase row. Am I increasing every row now? Or am I only increasing every time I'm repeating the 4th row? TIA

  6. Problem pattern has been solved! Thank you! Hi there! I just made an account here today hoping I could get a little insight or help with Red Heart's Cu-pig pattern by Kj Hay. I have been doing crochet for about 3 months now and just started doing Amigurumi. With this pattern, I was able to make everything alright looking until I got to the legs.. The part that has been getting me is Row 6 leading into Rows 7-10 and going into Round 11. I have a picture of what I have now and what it looks like when attempting to go into Round 11, I'm just not real sure where to go from there if I eve
  7. I used a letter H crochet hook and mostly half double crochets for the entire beanie. I started with the magic circle and worked from there.
  8. www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/LW2947.pdf I want to modify the pattern listed above. I want to add a second yarn and run it simultaneously with my other yarn for the Popcorn Hearts, in the center, ONLY. (Begins at row 70) The second yarn is a metallic, just to add some bling to this project. What is the best way to drop the metallic yarn when not needed? It seems too long in between to carry this additional metallic yarn??
  9. This afghan will be a Christmas gift for my brother. I used the Autumn Log Cabin Throw pattern from Red Heart, http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/autumn-log-cabin-throw and Red Heart Super Saver yarn. It measures 70" x 70"
  10. Hi everyone— I'm new to this forum (and new to crocheting!)...I've started a new project and I am having some major difficulties understanding what the pattern wants me to do. The pattern (School Colors Blanket) is a free Red Heart project. The link is below. I get stuck in Row 3: Row 1 (right side): Dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in each ch across; turn—20 dc. Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc in each st across; turn. Row 3: Ch 2, dc in each of next 6 dc, skip next 3 dc, FPdtr around the post of next 3 dc, 2 rows below, working in front of posts sts just made, FPdtr

  14. For those of you who don't know, at the recent STITCHES South event in Atlanta, Crochetville and Red Heart Yarns had a joint booth, with Crochetville selling yarn for Red Heart. The booth was an outstanding success, and we'll be repeating the effort at both Chain Link/Knit and Crochet show conferences this year as well as the STITCHES events. Since we're selling Red Heart yarns, I need to make a whole bunch of garments featuring those yarns to wear in the booth. I just finished making the Relaxed Cardi free pattern available from Red Heart: I finished it in only 4 days. You can click t
